Each year, the Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival honours the ancient Chinese tradition of dragon boat racing with an Eye Dotting Ceremony. The ceremony awakens the sleeping dragons and resuscitates the dragon boats with good spirits to provide ultimate enjoyment for all the racers.
Represented by Head Coach Nathan Salazar and paddlers Hayden Sohm, Deputy Director of LA County Parks Department and Steve Evans, Head Supervisor of Santa Fe Recreational Park, Team DPW is honored to participate in this ancient tradition.
