The 2014 Team USA Dragon Boat Clinic and tryouts were held this past weekend, February 22-23, 2014 at Mother’s Beach in Long Beach, CA. There were 65 candidates from the West Coast who participated in the clinic and gave it their all at the tryouts.
A number of our Team DPW teammates were among the hopefuls and some have made good impressions on the coaches. Though the Coaches were impressed by our paddlers, they still have to compare the results from all around the US. There are 7 more stops for them before they finalize who will go to Poznan, Poland for the 2014 ICF World Dragon Boat Championships. The results of the tryouts will be out by May.
